TRADITIONAL LAVENDER WATER Traditional lavender water made by Alphra Lavenders, New Zealand, is a perfumed eau de toilette.
The base for our traditional lavender water is lavender distillate, containing lavender oil in suspension that is obtained as a by-product of our oil distillation process. Using a recipe originally developed in 1929 we enhance the fragrance and character of our lavender water by maturing it in cool dark storage for one year before bottling. During this time the fragrances of Lavender, Bergamot, Patchouli and Clary Sage blend into an Orris Root fixative achieving a distinctive bouquet quite unlike the original ingredients. Traditional lavender water is made from a weak alcohol in which we use our lavender distillate as a diluent. Like many fragrant waters our lavender water contains bergamot that adds a citrus fragrance to the lavender. Application Spray liberally onto your body as an eau de toilette. Avoid contact with eyes.
